Surrendering Your Animal
We will consider whether or not we are able to take your small animal in for rehoming on a case by case basis. We are a home based animal shelter and rely solely on donations in order to continue our work. We cannot guarantee that we will have the space or resources to take in your small animal. If we are full we may give you the option of placing your pet onto one of our waiting lists.
We understand that there are a variety of reasons why people cannot continue to care for their pets. We will not pass judgement on you. However, if you are financially able to care for your pet and are surrendering them because the novelty has worn off please consider that a lot of time, effort and money goes into running a rescue and that there are already thousands of abandoned animals competing for the resources available from the various small animal rescues in the UK.
Please consider assisting us in our work by offering a donation to help towards the many costs associated with running a rescue shelter. In the case of rabbits you can help us greatly by ensuring that your pet is neutered and vaccinated. This is a requirement before we can find a new home for a rabbit. Each rabbit that is surrendered to us unvaccinated and unneutered costs us around £75 immediately in vet’s fees.
We will consider taking in the following small animals for rehoming:
We are not able to consider taking in all types of animals. Please do not contact us regarding any of the types of animals listed below as I am afraid that we will not be able to help you. We are unable to rehome:
