Well done Nikki and pals!
(October 02, 2011)An enormous thank you and well done to Nikki and friends who have raised a fantastic £184.50 (plus gift aid) through the sponsored walk they organised recently on our behalf.
Seven humans and five dogs took part, and thankfully the weather held out for the whole walk. The walk was a whooping 12 miles in total. Although, would have been 10 miles if the guys hadn't got a little lost on the day he! he!
Everyone enjoyed a lovely picnic half way. However, unfortunately not everyone made the full course. Marley the shih tzu was the first to throw in the towel at 5 miles, and Rocky the arthritic labrador managed 6 miles. Very good effort boys well done! Four people and three dogs bravely soldiered on to the end.
At the end of a long day everyone enjoyed a very much deserved drink at the pub!
